Accountability Message

Connected: Accountability from Dan Anderson on Vimeo.

Message Notes:

  • There are 4 categories of people in our lives when it comes to relationships: People we don't know, acquaintances, friends and influencers.
  • Friends are different than influencers.
  • We are not meant to walk through this life alone... we need each other if we are going to grow in our faith. Hebrews 10:24 say that we should "spur each other toward love and good deeds."
  • What makes a terrible accountability partner? Someone whose #1 goal is to be liked!
  • Click HERE to view Galatians 2:11-14 (this is the main Scripture that was preached from)
  • Confronting your friend when they are out of line actually shows that you care. If you are silent, then you are selfish.
  • If you don't confront, it could cause others to be led astray.
  • We need to speak up for the sake of the KINGDOM!
  • Before you can have an accountability partner, you need to ask yourself these two questions: Do I want to grow in my relationship with Christ? And where am I weak?
  • Before you can be an accountability partner for someone, you have to ask yourself this question: Am I willing to ask tough questions?
  • James 5:19-20 says: "My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, 20 you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins."
