Advance >> Take-Over at Forest Hill

Dear Parents and Students of Advance >>

Next weekend, May 22nd and 23rd, we will be having our first ever “Advance Take-Over” at Forest Hill Church. You’re probably asking yourself, “What does that mean?” Well, let me tell you what that means...

In an effort to highlight the student ministry at Forest Hill, the leaders of the church have asked us to bring the Advance >> program to Saturday night and Sunday morning for the whole church to see it. The student ministry team will be responsible for pulling off all three services that weekend. Here is what we have planned:

  • Nationally known speaker/preacher Clayton King will be delivering the message that weekend. (He was a HUGE hit when he spoke to the Advance students back in January)
  • Andy Cherry and the Advance band will be leading worship.
  • Every student and volunteer will be asked to volunteer in and around the church in some capacity. For example: greeters, ushers, newcomer’s parking lot, etc.
  • Every student and volunteer will be given a brand new Advance >> T-shirt and asked to wear it to church that day.
  • Students and volunteers will be asked to attend both Sunday morning services that weekend (and we will need some to attend the Saturday night service as well).

What do you do next? Good Question!

We will be holding student sign-ups THIS SUNDAY NIGHT AT ADVANCE. All students are encouraged to come to Advance this Sunday (May 16th) to sign up for where they would like to volunteer and receive their free T-Shirt. If you cannot make it this weekend, please E mail Bethany Kortekaas for instructions on how to sign up and receive your T-shirt! Bethany.Kortekaas@foresthill.org

We are so excited to be a part of a church that really values student ministry. It will be so cool to see this generation of students taking over Forest Hill next weekend. Please join us as we celebrate what God is doing in Advance >>.

Thanks so much,

The Advance >> Team
